Hello, I am Katy Theakston

I am an entrepreneur, a healer, a mentor, a spiritual and intuitive guide, a wild and wonderful witch.

My life has changed immeasurably over the last few years... I have invested in myself, I have learnt to love all aspects of myself, I have found my purpose and I have up-levelled and transformed my business.

I founded The Owl & The Apothecary to be a home of healing and change. Working with ancient rituals and modern-day practices, everything that I offer flows from my founding principle of connection... connection to self, connection to others and connection to mother earth.

My purpose is to help women to rediscover themselves, to reconnect with the cycles of the seasons and to discover a beautiful way of living with their wild & wonderful hearts. And have a little fun along the way.

Through a combination of healing, mentoring and inspirational guidance, I will help you connect to your true self, create new patterns of self love and support you on your path to find your authentic, wild self.

Whether it’s a programme, retreat or one of our wonderfully witchy gifts from our shop, I want your The Owl & The Apothecary experience to be one of connection, ceremony and creativity.

My Story

Corporate job. Heartbreak. Burn-Out. Solo IVF & motherhood. Being caught up in a negative cycle of masculine energy, feeling totally drained and a little lost. Unable to access or understand my soul’s desire. I’ve been there. I myself have experienced many of the things that you may be going through. But with the right guidance and a little bit of witchy work, I have come out of the other side; I un-stuck myself and now my life’s mission is to help you do the same.

It was when I started researching natural ways that I could help myself that I reconnected to my inner witch.  I remembered the fierce, fiery yet feminine force within me and I fully leaned into her and rediscovered the healing gifts I have to help others transform.

Fast forward five years, I live now contently with my son in the wilds of Dorset, I have built a successful business and I am only just getting started.

I have created The Owl & The Apothecary as a home to empower transformation, combining my witchy intuition with a no-nonsense, practical approach. I offer you my experience, integrity, insight, mentorship and warmth to help navigate you through your own personal awakening. I have found my purpose - to help restore balance and flow of energy with yourself and the earth.

In a safe and loving space, I will show you how to slow down, to listen to the natural rhythms and cycles of the year, to learn to trust the fierce and feminine rising in your soul and to live your best & most brilliant life. And have a little fun along the way – it’s not all Kilner jars & spiders legs!

The Owl & The Apothecary

The Owl is the harbinger of change and transformation. She represents ancient wisdom, the divine feminine, the energies of the moon, rich intuition & magic. The Apothecary is the set of tools to help access all aspects of the divine. The Owl & The Apothecary signals the dusk and the twilight of your life. The shadows, the light and the dark. Finding a way to lean into & love all those elements of yourself.
